Members shared their experiences with long COVID symptoms, with timelines ranging from three months to over two years, and many describing worsening rather than improving health that leaves them feeling fundamentally changed from who they were before infection. Several members described ongoing complications including heart regulation issues, breathing difficulties, chronic fatigue, gastrointestinal problems, and even strokes, with a recurring frustration that doctors often do not take their worsening symptoms seriously. A recurring theme was the uncertainty of recovery, the challenge of accepting a new normal, and the importance of taking things one day at a time while trying to maintain hope and build up immune defenses against reinfection.

I am almost a year and a half out from "recovery" and am feeling worse than ever. Doctors don't seem to take me seriously when I tell them it has gotten only worse since having Covid.

I'm a long hauler, I've had COVID 4 times and have been chronically ill since November of 2021 and have had 4 strokes they believe are related to COVID or the vaccine.

How long is a piece of string? I was diagnosed in May 2022. Nobody can confirm whether I have long Covid or not.

I am so sorry. I am 3 months out this time and they are still trying to get my heart regulated. Now I have nutritional issues due to gastro problems and now endemic. It just doesn't seem to end and they say its all from covid. I was hospitalized for 2 week for covid pneumonia back in June. Not quite sure what normal is at this point. I sleep alot which is weird for me as I have always been a chronic insomniac.
