Members reflected on how COVID has fundamentally changed their daily lives, with many describing persistent fatigue, breathing difficulties, hair loss, and the need to move at a slower pace while balancing work and family responsibilities. Several members shared practical coping strategies including wearing masks in public, taking vitamins to support immune recovery, allowing time for gradual healing (which can take nearly a year), and practicing self-compassion when energy is limited. A recurring theme was the profound emotional toll of isolation, fear of reinfection, and grief over lost loved ones, balanced by gratitude for survival, deeper faith, and cherishing every moment with family.

Living with the anxiety and fear of getting it again, but growing closer to God you learn to live your life fully and appreciate every day with your loved ones, cos this is real, and only those who where affected will know just how real it can be...

It has definitely slowed down my life. My hair falls out alot, my breathing is different, and I'm tired alot more. I still can eat and everything. But I have nerve issues now and it's harder for me to get in shower and get dressed but I still do it because I am a home Healthcare worker.

I have definitely far less energy than I had before covid and still take meds for restless legs but other than that I'm actually feeling good. I thank Our Good Lord above everyday for saving me from this terrible covid. 🙏

With long Covid each day is different. The weather can also be a determine factor on breathing on rainy cold days. I treasure every moment with family. I lost my brother to Covid pneumonia 10-21-2021. Covid is a monster! Only God’s power can beat Covid!
