Members shared deeply relatable experiences of persistent post-COVID cognitive symptoms, with many reporting memory loss, brain fog, and concentration difficulties lasting months to years after their initial infections in 2020 and 2021. Several members described practical coping strategies including daily supplements like Vitamin D3 and zinc, medications such as Cymbalta and Trepeline for neuropathic pain and depression, and leaning on humor and self-compassion when struggling to find words or complete tasks. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of cognitive impairment, from embarrassment and anxiety to job loss and fear of permanent damage, met with encouragement to stay hopeful, lean on faith or humor, and remember they are not alone in this exhausting journey.

Hi Kotie. I have all those symptoms and I think the brain fog and memory loss r the worst. Its embarrassing sometimes. Then I make a comment about the covid affecting my memory. Sometimes well taken and other times not. I must just try and keep my confidence in God and rely om Him for small things to get better. Take care.

Ha Ha, my Father is 80, so he forgets also what something's name is, and you can imagine with my Covid brain, it is like playing charades in our house.... 3 words... looks like this... smell like..... use for cooking.... and these days if we are looking for something in the house, we just say, "it's somewhere". We will get it eventually...πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Hi I have found it hilarious because at times I can see what I want to say, but find it difficult to put into words. Having a great sense of humor helps, I am sure it will improve as it seems to get better as time goes by.

So sorry that you battle with that. The cognitive issues are terrible. I've had LC since July 2020 and the cognitive issues are bad. Feels like my brain is just mush. My long term memory is ok with some things, but short term memory is like Dory from Finding Nemo.
